Lorena Duran, artistic director of the Emerge | Converge™ selling exhibition cycle, is the founder of Artverbium®. Her 18 years of professional trajectory include a successful tenure as VP and International Creative Director at Christie’s, where she led creative teams in New York and London for 9 years, and developed global exhibitions throughout the same period. Previously, she held curatorial, creative director, and consulting roles for organizations like the Professional Association of Design in America (AIGA), and the Botero Museum in Colombia among others.
As an award-winning creator, Lorena conceived and developed major exhibitions for art fairs such as TEFAF in the Netherlands, KIAF in South Korea, and iconic venues such as the Grand Palais in Paris or the Convention Center in Hong Kong. A path that highlights her expertise developing large visionary projects focused on arts and culture, implemented in over 12 countries to date. Her solid academic background includes postgraduate studies in Business for Creative Leaders from Yale University, an M.F.A. in Interactive Arts from Pratt, and a Graphic Design degree from the National University of Colombia.
Born in Colombia, she has lived and worked in Bogota, New York, London, and Porto. This multi-cultural nature informs her holistic approach to art, often leaning for artists who come from an interesting cultural milieu.
Through Emerge | Converge, Artverbium presents inspiring work by iconic and emerging artists, in an immersive digital realm. Along with professional curators and art world experts, they created an online destination for collectors to find and acquire valuable art by influential international artists with ease.
